A Walk at “The Sycamores”

(Update: Woops! Apparently I accidentally published this post before it was finished, but I’ve fixed it now. Heh heh. XD )

Oh my goodness, I took TONS of pictures the other day! Like, more than 100. XD Since I don’t think it would be the best idea to post all the pictures at once, I guess I’ll break them up into a few posts to save your poor scrolling fingers. XD

Oh, and hi, by the way. 😀

Annyway, we have this spot on our farm we call “The Sycamores,” because… well, it’s a row of sycamores. The trees are so big and old and beautiful! I love the white bark.

This seed pod or seed ball or whatever you call it is kind of deformed…

But this one’s better. 🙂

I love how the seed balls look like ornaments hanging from the branches!

One tree is especially big and white at the top. ♥

Not all the bark is white, though, especially at the bottom. It’s only white where the bark like this flakes off.

Several cedar trees grow among the sycamores, and while they aren’t as pretty, they’re still neat up close.

Yikes, we found a scary looking thorn bush. O.o

Isn’t it amazing that this feather was stuck in the crack like that? Ha ha, okay, I’m kidding – I put it there so I could take the picture better. XD

Here’s one last tree, but I don’t know what kind this is. And it’s dead. But it still looked really neat against the blue sky, don’t you think?! Ahh, I want to go back and take some more pictures soon!

Alrighty, I guess that’s probably enough pictures for one post. 🙂 Tell me, which picture(s) was(were) your favorite(s)? (Wow, that was complicated. XD ) Stay tuned for the rest of the 100 pictures! 😀

      1. Oh, lol, no, I was being the confusing one. I knew that you had stuck it in there–I was just being awkward little me and trying to make a joke. XD You’re welcome! 😀

        1. Oh, woops. XD Hee hee! I do that a lot too, but I just didn’t catch your joke that time. XD Oh, and apparently the post was missing pictures and writing that it was supposed to have… The beginning must have seemed abrupt compared to my usual posts. Sorry about that! It should be fixed now. 🙂

            1. A heh, well I’m a lot more awkward in real life than in the blogging world. XD XD XD
Dear dear – the perils of being a blogger who stays up too late to finish a post and then WordPress isn’t working so it turns out it didn’t keep all the writing and pictures from the post you copied. 😡 XD

              1. XD I know right! I’m so awkward… *cringes at self*
And XD Yes! Except my wifi turns off at a specific time, so then I, being the persistent mango I am, continue writing the post and have to deal with the page jumping back to the top when it “can’t save”. XD

  1. Sycamore trees are so pretty….I wish we had them in Montana. But I think my favorite tree is a magnolia. I went to Portland once, and they were in bloom, lining the streets…just gorgeous.

  2. I liked two of them the best the last shot looking up the tree and seeing the shadow play along the tree and the feather stuck in the crack on the ground makes you think about the happy accidents of life that just work out nicely without human help

  3. The pictures are gorgeous! I love blue the sky is and how well the trees contrast with it. My favorite picture would probably be … ahh … they’re all so pretty. XD The last one maybe? The shadows are gorgeous. Or maybe the … ninth one down with the peeling bark. I love them all. 😉

  4. How did I miss this post, LOL! I was looking through my emails and saw the update from whenever and I was like, I missed that? 😛 Ha-ha! 😉 Anyway, neato pictures! We used to have sycamore trees around when we lived in KY, I liked them. My favorites were the feather, and the bark and such. Really most all of them, haha! 😀
