Snail Trails

Gotta love rhyming titles, right? ๐Ÿ˜€

Annnnyway, tonight our friends came over and we had fun collecting snailsย in a variety of sizes and colors. They may be slow, but that doesn’t stop snails from being fun to watch!

  1. COOOOL!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ I LOVED these pics!! ๐Ÿ˜€ I always love seeing pictures of snails, cause we don’t have them here! :O ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ™‚ How big are those?? :O I LOVED the captions for the pics! ๐Ÿ˜„ this was my favorite: โ€œExcuse me, Bob. Oops, sorry Janet! Coming through, Harry. Donโ€™t mind me, Iโ€™m just looking for my lucky four leaf cloverโ€ฆ Hey! What are these green shreds doing here? BOB! Why do you always have to be so hungry?โ€ Heh heh, that was fun to write.:)

    1. Aww, thanks, K. A.! Wow, you don’t have snails? That’s strange. ๐Ÿ˜„ The snails varied in size. The biggest shells were somewhere between nickel and quarter-size, and the littlest snails were tiny! They were even smaller than my pinkie nail or a thumbtack head! ๐Ÿ˜€
I’m really glad you liked the captions, K. A., because I loved writing them. ๐Ÿ˜„ That’s probably my favorite caption too! Yeah. ๐Ÿ˜€ Yay, I’m so glad!

    1. Hee hee, thank you, Hayley!
I actually use a special setting on my camera called “Close-up” which is made especially for shooting… um, close-ups. ๐Ÿ˜„ Wait, don’t you have a Nikon Coolpix L830 too? If you do, I can tell you how to get to the setting if you want. (It’s pretty easy.)

  3. Wow Allison. You amaze me, my friend! THESE PICTURES ARE BEYOND AMAZING. *faints dramatically* ๐Ÿ˜› Seriously Allison, you’ve got some talent. ๐Ÿ˜€
    AH I LUV SNAILS!!!:P

Btw, I was wondering how, for instance, you were able to put WordCrafters 1 and WordCrafters 2 under WordCrafters? I can’t seem to figure out how to do that with my pages!

    1. Aww, thank you super much for that amazing compliment, Lainey!! That’s so sweet!
Sure! First you need to know some technical language. ๐Ÿ˜„ ๐Ÿ˜› (I guess this is right. ๐Ÿ˜„ ) A parent page is the one on top, and a “daughter” page is the one underneath, on the dropdown. (For instance, WordCrafters is the parent page, and WordCrafters 1 and 2 are the daughter pages.)
So. Go to the “Pages” tab in your WP Admin. Find the page you want to make into a daughter page (dropdown page). Click “edit” to edit the page. There is a place on the right sidebar that says “Page Attributes.” Inside that tab there is a dropdown list under the word “Parent.” Just choose the page you want to be a parent page, and there you go! You can (obviously) have more than one daughter page per parent page.
I hope that helped! Please tell me if you have any more questions. ๐Ÿ™‚

OH, thanks so much! That makes perfect sense! I had seen the Parent page thingy(=P)before, and thought it might have something to do with it but I was never sure;) Thanks again!:D

  5. Love your pictures, do you know what type of snails they are? Would you mind if I shared some of your picture on my snail blog if I credit you and link your page? If it is ok any information on the snails and where they are from (general location is fine) would be great so I can share that with the images.

    1. Thank you so much! Hmm, that’s a good question. I looked it up and I think they are grove snails, or brown-lipped snails.
Sure, I’d be delighted if you want to share my pictures with a link back to me! The general location of the snails is eastern USA. They’re pretty common around here, I think, and there are lots of stripe and color variations.
